Electronic Timer for lights… single or double pole? How to install?
I bought a single pole single through electronic timer for some outdoor lights… How do I hook it up??? Here’s a diagram of what I have as far as wires.

YOU WILL NEED A 2 POLE TIMER-DPST (similar to single pole, just has 2 sets of line terminals and load terminals, instead of just the single set)-wired VERY similar to a single pole (Neutral, Line1, Load1, Line 2, Load2)
Directions to wire a SINGLE POLE TIMER okay, first take a 7 inch white solid 14 awg wire and wire nut it with the other 2 neutrals together . take the new neutral wire(pigtail) you made and connect it to the first terminal marked neutral.THEN connect the line(one going out to your timer from house) to both of the terminals marked LINE(connect it to the third terminal, and from the same terminal, connect a 7 inch BLACK 14 awg wire going to the SECOND terminal). take the hot from your load and connect it to the LOAD terminal(fourth one). you should have already connected (wire nutted)the neutral from the load to all the other neutrals.find the green grounding screw and add a pigtail to it and wirenut it and all the other grounds together. if you followed my directions EXACTLY you should not have to call an electrician. Remember to follow the NEC and all other local electrical codes and BE SAFE
